About Steven

  Thank you for taking time to visit my site. I'm a healthcare professional with several years of experience in acute care settings. My worked history includes emergency care, trauma, behavioral health, pediatrics, OB/Maternity, Medical/Surgical nursing, logistics, and leadership. Like many of you I have worked with some amazing healthcare professionals and have had incredible mentors over the years.

  I was fortunate to have been offered Lean training early on in my leadership career. This training was a game changer for me personally and professionally and has helped me see quality, safety, and performance issues from a different perspective.  

  I've used my lean training to tackle a variety of problems including hand hygiene performance, high CLABSI rates, high contaminated blood specimen rates, inefficient supply chain performance, and many other issues. These tactics work in any setting.  

  What I enjoy most about using lean methodology is that it allows multidisciplinary teams to come together, recognize the flaws in process, see a need for change, and imagine a better way to achieve common goals. We are in this together.
